Professional background

I started out designing buildings, where mistakes don't get a hotfix. Architecture school taught me to build models late into the night & defend every decision in front of a jury, and I still design that way: prototype early, pressure-test everything, and sweat the details nobody asked about.

At Zillow, I spent 4 years on the moments right before people commit to something big: requesting a first tour, signing an agreement, messaging an agent for the first time.

When I'm not designing
